The Office & Facilities Manager is the ‘glue’ of the facility, ensuring our R&D team has everything they need to operate at peak performance and meet our ambitious goals - from enough laboratory space to the right equipment, people in the right places, and the right support from our partners. This role will be the key ‘point person’ liaising with vendors, service providers, and colleagues on behalf of the Wheat Ridge team. We’re a fast-paced, rapidly growing facility, so problem solving and prioritization skills are a must.

What You’ll Do

  • Schedule, plan, and coordinate large multi-stakeholder meetings virtually and/or in-person. Prepare agendas, transcribe, and distribute minutes of meetings.

  • Perform complex administrative work for organization leadership or site staff. Prepare reports on behalf of the facility.

  • Collaborate with site team and HR to recruit new employees, arrange interviews, and finalize new hire selection, as well as onboard new or transferring employees.

  • Assist with planning travel itineraries and arranging travel plans for groups of internal and external professionals.

  • Learns processes and provide leadership with information for the resolution of problems. Seek opportunities for process management improvements.

  • Lead by example and follow laboratory safety procedures consistently.

  • Participate in daily morning “Toolbox Talks” prior to commencement of work outlining plans for the day as well as “Safety Share”.

  • Assist with audits of laboratory facilities to ensure a safe work environment.

  • Inspect and evaluate work in progress, identify any problem areas, and potentially direct remedial action.

  • Raise concerns and communicate needs to Facilities Manager and site management.

  • Participate on cross-functional teams to manage project progress.

  • Performs other duties as required.

  • Salary Range: $60,000 - 80,000

  • Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work, job assignments and procedures, and applicable safety-related instructions given in English

  • Work primarily in an office setting; however, occasionally work may be assigned in a laboratory setting which may include exposure to extremes in temperature
    and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes or airborne particles

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit,
    demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see 

  • Occasionally may be required to lift heavy objects (up to 30 pounds) 

  • Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a laboratory or mine, outdoor, or manufacturing plant environment

  • Drug/alcohol free, as confirmed through pre-employment drug testing and ongoing random drug testing as per applicable state laws
