We're looking for a highly motivated, experienced manager to develop and execute sales strategies to ensure (sintered neo) magnet business development and sales targets are executed in line with the overall company strategy. The ideal candidate will apply market and operational insights to guide product development and value maximization across the integrated magnet business.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and implement the long-term sales plans, objectives, and budget that delivers the company’s objectives within the sales and marketing strategy

  • Translate market views from different stakeholders into a clear view on market direction to drive enhanced commercial decision making and planning; leverage external networks to apply market intelligence and tests assumptions to market outlooks

  • Provide guidance to the Chief Commercial Officer on sales risk management and relevant mitigating actions

  • Project sales volume and margin for existing and new products in line with sales and marketing plans

  • Identify opportunities and competitive threats to USARE’s sales and develop the necessary tactics to ensure sustainable growth in the company’s target markets

  • Develop sales opportunities and frameworks for strategic pricing of magnet products within delegated risk management frameworks

  • Apply an understanding of end-to-end supply chain to enable and ensure sales execution in line with magnet sales plans and forecasts

  • Contribute to the development of systems and processes for sales and logistics management to support execution

  • Develop magnet sale and grade scenarios that optimize the balance of market share, price, volume, revenue, and margin in line with overall company strategy

  • Understand the key value levers and product cost drivers (mine to customer) and use this knowledge to support the identification and execution of new commercial and product initiatives

  • Work collaboratively with other functions and team members in the Commercial and Magnet units to identify potential synergies and sharing of best practice

  • Lead and develop the sales team and customer facing staff, ensuring team members’ skills and competencies adapt to the market and competitive environment

Who You Are

  • Over 10 years’ experience working in a lead customer-facing sales role, preferably in the permanent magnet industry (sintered and/or bonded neo permanent magnets)

  • High level of familiarity of US-based permanent magnet buyers in both the defense and commercial sectors

  • Good technical understanding of the domestic and global permanent magnet industry, including a working understanding of magnet product and assembly performance concepts and requirements

  • Strong commercial experience, and ability to translate insights from market trends into strategies and actions; good analytical capability, with a motivation to drive commercial performance

  • Demonstrated team leadership skills, including team development and providing feedback and recognition​


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to reach out and build collaborative stakeholder relationships across different levels

  • High degree of negotiation skills combined with autonomy

  • Demonstrated experience in prioritizing and working through a networked organization in achieving results

  • Strategic business acumen, with the ability to obtain insights into customer strategies and business drivers, and translating them into value creation and risk reduction measures
